I'm "oil pulling" as I type these words. That means I'm swishing around a spoonful of coconut oil in my mouth, which I try to do for 15 to 20 minutes every morning (and maybe succeed at doing every OTHER morning). I do it in the slot of time between taking my "on an empty stomach" round of morning pills...and breakfast.
I read about oil pulling in a book called Oil Pulling Therapy, by Dr. Bruce Fife. It's based on the premise that "all disease starts in the mouth" and that "detoxifying and healing the body through oral cleansing" is really important.
But why swish coconut oil? Why not just keep brushing, pretending you floss regularly, and eventually getting bleeding gums and periodontal disease like 90 percent of the population does?
Uh...well...that's why you have to read the book. Or go online and read ABOUT it; there's plenty to be found on oil-pulling and why it might serve you better than the conventional approaches to mouth care. Basically, it's a combo of age-old Ayurvedic medicine and modern alternative medicine.
Ooops, I've been swishing long enough! That's the other thing, you can write a blog post while swishing.

P.S. - Need a good housepainter? Or know someone who does? Here's THE LINK to Jack's evolving website.
Thanks! Yes, all the photos are mine. (The header photo is too - can you tell that it's of painter's scaffold netting?)

I really like Jack's web site. Are they your black and white photos of him on the front? The whole site has a very nice and professional feeling to it.
