Hi Gabrielle,

Actually it's not at all odd that your oncologist was uninformed about iodine. Most of oncologists are knowledgeable only about chemo, radiation and hormone blockers. They know (and care) suprisingly little about other treatments/options.

I told my oncologist about this today, and she seemed not to know anything about it. Seemed odd.
