Let me say that I have NEVER voluntarily watched so much CNN news relating to an election (or relating to anything else, for that matter), in so few days. My former disinterest/disdain/despair over the state of current political/national affairs has disappeared with a BIG FAT POOF. Yeah I still have a million worries about our government, our country, and the world...but at least I also have some hope now, too. What a concept.
I'm interested in ALL of it: war, economy, health coverage, environment, hypoallergenic rescue puppies, Michelle O's fashion choices, the new Chief of Staff, Palin's pathetic legacy, Prop. 8's future, the Republican party's future, how the rest of the world sees us now, everyone's baited breath...
Oh dear, I just heard of Miriam Makeba's death. She was 76, collapsed on stage while performing in Italy. Heart attack. Such a beautiful voice she had.
Ah well, back to work, my desk littered thick with hurdles.
GO-BAMA! http://change.gov/
This may be remembered as the election that turned the apolitical political.

Man, I leave town for a few days and now you're an activist. Hope to see Karen for lunch tomorrow - Wednesday.
