Bernard and Doris

If you haven't yet seen the HBO movie, Bernard and Doris, I recommend it. Stars Susan Saradon and Ralph Fiennes. Both are superb, though I think Ralph might be slightly more superb, even, than Susan. He (they, actually) sing this song, "I Love the Way You're Breaking My Heart," in a way that brought tears to my eyes. (Ms. Mush, you will need a big box of tissues.)

Promo for this has been on all the bus shelters. Those two stars always get my attention, but I'll have to hope it goes to NetFlix. (still no tv)

Your photo looks like tears and running mascara.....was that intentional? Wish I got HBO, sounds like a good movie.

Oh, great ~ a lot for me to catch up on here. It seems like you were just doing that tax stuff 3 weeks ago. I agree with you on the 20th and Yorkish area, it's one of my faves. I'll watch Doris Duke ASAP.

Happy Valentine's Day! You and Jack are probably cooking a romantic Sally Fallon meal together. I got her cookbook yesterday. Under her guidelines for people with limited time, I found this advice: "look into an arrangement for keeping a Jersey cow or goats." Cracked me up!

Oh yes, I'm actually on my way out to the backyard right now, to milk the cow and goat, then churn the cheese and whip up some curds and whey.
