Ah, doing the Writing Salon taxes. What fun THAT is. How I look forward to it every year. We're talking 10 years, now.
My taxes used to be so simple back when it was just me and my arty poverty. No expenses to keep track of. No itemized deductions. No tax forms to do for other people (teachers, etc.). Usually, I got a small refund.
Now it's year-long Quicken entries, categories, subcategories, stacks of receipts, stacks of invoices, printouts, scribbles, notes. None of this is my forte. But I have learned to do it.
